Terra’s Angels Charities is an organization of volunteers who help provide the basic needs of families that have children with life-threatening cancer. It was established to carry on in the example of Terra Murrell, who also suffered from cancer for nine years. Terra spent many of these years receiving treatment at Vanderbilt Hospital and Nashville became her second home. Terra believed in lending a helping hand, a comforting shoulder, sharing a laugh or a needed prayer. She never complained about her own problems and instead busied herself comforting children and their families as they endured this dreadful disease. As she did these things, she inspired the many people who have come together for this cause. Terra lost her battle with cancer on July 1, 2001, but her enduring influence still lifts up families today.

Terra’s Angels Charities is organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Federal Tax Code and donations are tax deductible.

Proceeds from the fundraiser and the direct donations will be used to provide assistance to families with children who are battling cancer age’s newborn to age 25. Many parents in this situation must leave employment for months and sometimes years to care for their sick child. During these times, basic things like utility bills, car payments, house payments, food, medication or temporary housing can be beyond their means.

In addition to providing these basic items, Terra’s Angels also assists with:

  • Transportation and temporary housing for families who need to travel outside of the area for life saving therapies.
  • Car repairs.
  • Hats, wigs and clothing for the patient.
  • Medically required equipment such as wheelchairs and crutches.
  • “Wishes” for children that do not qualify for other organized programs. (18-21)

Please help us to be able to continue to meet this need.

Our referrals come from social workers, nurses, and doctors.
